Effective from the AY2019/20 cohort onwards, students who have read a RC4 Junior Seminar (UTC1702x) will be exempted from the IE2141 graduation requirement. 1. Computer Engineering students should read CS2101 to fulfil the writing/communication requirement. (Applicable to students from Cohort 2020/21 and before) 2. Students from USP, UTCP and RVRC Programme should read the equivalent writing / communication modules courses (UWC2101%, UTW1001%, ES1601, RVX100%) with their respective special programmes. 3. Students on the Double Degree Programme should refer to the DDP programme structure for details on fulfilling their writing/communication requirements.

With effect from AY2022/23 Semester 2, EG2501/CDE2501 Liveable Cities has been accepted into the list of courses approved under the General Education pillars. Non-CDE students from Cohort AY2021/22 onwards may read EG2501/CDE2501 Liveable Cities to fulfil the General Education Singapore Studies pillar. CDE students from Cohorts AY2021/22 onwards are to read EG2501/CDE2501 Liveable Cities to fulfil the Sustainable Futures pillar, and a GESS-coded course (or equivalent, for RVRC, NUSC, USP) to fulfil the Singapore Studies pillar. Double-counting is not allowed between two pillars of the Common Curriculum.
