  1. Swap Pre-allocated Tutorials or Labs: If you have valid reasons, please submit an appeal in ModReg, using Appeal Type="Drop Lect/Tut Preallocated by Admn". Please note that swapping of lecture, tutorial or lab timeslot to avoid clashes with General Education modules or Unrestricted Elective modules may be given lower priority.
  1. Drop Pre-allocated Lecture, Tutorials or Labs: You may drop your EG1311 and MLE1010 preallocated lab/tutorial first, if you need to address a scheduling conflict. You can also drop labs and tutorials that are secured through ModReg. For rest of the pre-allocated labs and tutorials, please submit an appeal in ModReg, using Appeal Type="Drop Lect/Tut Preallocated by Admn".
  1. Defer EG1311 to Next Semester (for students who are overseas): Please submit your appeal in ModReg, using Appeal Type="Drop Lect/Tut Preallocated by Admn".

Please drop the common course directly in CourseReg and select your preferred lecture group in Select Courses. It will be allocated to you subject to priority scoring and available quota. Do not use the appeal in CourseReg: "Change Admin Allocated Class".

If you have issues dropping the common course directly in CourseReg, please submit a CourseReg appeal under appeal type - "Change Admin Allocated Classes" or write to cdebox28@nus.edu.sg for assistance.

Re-declared Engineering major after courses were pre-allocated

For students who only declare your Engineering major when CourseReg Round 1 starts:

  1. Look up your recommended schedule for the new major.
  2. Check if the set of common courses remain the same
  3. Otherwise, drop and resecure the correct set of courses during the CourseReg Select Courses rounds (for GEA1000 and DTK1234, submit an appeal in CourseReg to add or drop)
Late admission

For students who only complete Registration Part 1:

  1. Complete your declaration in Academic Plan Application / Declaration
  2. Look up your recommended schedule for your major.
  3. Secure the correct set of courses during the CourseReg Select Courses rounds (for GEA1000 and DTK1234, submit an appeal in CourseReg to add).

We seek your understanding that appeals to add/drop/swap modules will only be processed between ModReg rounds, and not while the rounds are ongoing. 

2. Lectures, tutorials and labs pre-allocated by the College of Design and Engineering Dean's Office are droppable by the student. However, please consider the impact on your study plan before dropping the course entirely. Students who wish to defer the course to another semester should note that priority is usually given to students following the recommended schedule.
