The MediaWeb Panopto Recorder is a software you can use to record from your PC and upload to the MediaWeb server after the recording stopped.

To download the Panopto Recorder from MediaWeb, you will need to go to the MediaWeb and login to the MediaWeb portal.


1) Upon login to the MediaWeb portal, click on "Create"

2) Click on Panopto for Windows/Mac

3) In the screen below, click on "Download Panopto".

4) Select the Panopto version that your current PC's operating system's version, a pop up prompt will appear for you to select either download or run the program after downloading.

5) After you saved the installer locally and run it or click on the Run button to run the installation, you will see the screen below.

6) In the picture above, you will see the

a) Location that the program to install "C:\Program Files\Panopto\Recorder\"

b) The location where the recorded files will be placed on your PC "C:\PanoptoRecorder\"

c) The address to the MediaWeb server which you should left it by default as "mediaweb.web.nus.edu.sg" so that the program will be able to upload to the mediaweb server after the recording is done with the Panopto recorder.

You can change the setting or drive for 6 a) and 6 b) if you want to relocate the program location and also the saved files in your local PC. After you have finish updating the path or if you have no issue with the default setting, click on Next button in the picture above.


7) Next click on the "Install" as shown below.

8) Once installation is done, you will see the Panopto Recorder program and it will prompt you to Sign In as shown below.

9) To login to the Panopto Recorder program as shown above, click on "Sign In" which will bring you to the NUS login portal to login to it. You will see the Panopto Recorder program as shown below after you login to it.
