1. To read this course, you must have been either exempted from the Qualifying English Test (QET) or obtained Band 3 in the QET. You may check if you are exempted HERE.

2. Students who are required to take ES1000 Foundation Academic English and/or ES1103 English for Academic Purposes after taking the QET must pass the courses before you are allowed to read this course.

1. Computer Engineering students should read CS2101 to fulfil the writing/communication requirement. (Applicable to students from Cohort 2020/21 and before)

2. Students from USP, UTCP and RVRC Programme should read the equivalent writing / communication courses (UWC2101%, UTW1001%, ES1601, RVX100%) with their respective special programmes. 

3. Students on the Double Degree Programme should refer to the DDP programme structure for details on fulfilling their writing/communication requirements.

Students reading the course during your internship (EG3611A or CP3880)

Students who will be doing IA(EG3611A)/ATAP(CP3880) in that specific semester are eligible to apply for EG2401A evening classes in the same semester. CDE Office of Undergraduate Programmes will email such students with instructions to register outside CourseReg system. Allocation will be subject to available vacancies.

NOTE:PLEASE DO NOT select the evening lecture during CourseReg as successful applicants will be pre-allocated both the evening lecture and tutorial for this course.
The Evening lecture quota in CourseReg/ vacancy report opens to students who are not on internship (EG3611A or CP3880).

CDE UG office reserves the right to drop your ballot evening lecture on your behalf if you have secured it via CourseReg.)
