If you do not see a Course Site for a course you are teaching on your Dashboard, please go through the following steps.

Check that you are listed as lecturer in CMIS

It may be that you are not listed as the Lecturer for the course in the NUS’ Class Timetabling System (CMIS) from where Canvas draws this information. Course sites are only available two months before the semester begins

Please contact your CMIS Departmental Contact, and they will be able to update CMIS. Changes made through CMIS will appear the following day in your Canvas sites.

Check that your course is starred

You can control the courses that appear in your Dashboard via Courses (below Dashboard on the Global Navigation Menu).

Click All Courses on the sidebar that appears. You may have to scroll down to see this link. Direct link.

Here you will see a list of all your current courses. If the missing course is visible here, star the course. Doing so will enable the course to be seen on the Dashboard. Do note that the Dashboard can only display up to 20 courses (total of published an unpublished courses).

Check whether your course is part of a combined course site

Sometimes, if your course is part of a multiple-section course site, then you may not see your course site, as it is combined with another Course site.

Has your course past its end date?

If your course is past its end date, it will not appear in your Dashboard.

Please see your full list of courses, present and past via Courses (below Dashboard on the Global Navigation Menu).

Click All Courses on the sidebar that appears. You may have to scroll down to see this link. Direct link.

If none of the above work...

Finally, if you are the lecturer-on-record in CMIS and still do not see the course, please email Canvas support at itcare@nus.edu.sg and include in your message the course and section you are teaching so that the we can troubleshoot the problem.
