  1. In all scenarios, the total points are always displayed. However, if you set the respective Gradebook item to manual release (the grade posting policy), then the total points (as well as all other quiz response options) will not be displayed.
  2. Other than scenario 1:
    1. the points per question will be displayed (in addition to the total points),
    2. all comment types will be displayed. Your comment(s) may give away the right answer, even if you choose not to let the student see the correct answers, and
    3. incorrect answers are always displayed.

The student view screenshots include a screenshot of the chosen settings under Instructions.

This is for you to visualise the effect the settings have on the student view of Quiz results. It does not get attached to Instructions by default.

Single attempt or unlimited multiple attempts

    1. immediately after each attempt.

  4. The correct answers will be hidden:

If students are allowed multiple attempts, they will see a Take the quiz again button.

Before the correct answers are shown, the view corresponds with scenario 2.

Once the correct answers are shown, the view corresponds with scenario 4.

If hide correct answers date is set, students will see results as in scenario 2, with a message that correct answers are no longer available.

DO NOT USE THIS SCENARIO.

This combination of options is the same as scenario 3. This is because the results are shown only once after each attempt. The results cannot be shown beyond that, so the dates to release the correct answers will be ignored.

These scenarios assume a specific number of allowed attempts.
