EE2211 Introduction to Machine Learning
The following departments’ students are scheduled to read EE2211 in AY2020/21 Semester 1:
- BME, ISE, MSE, ME, E-Scholars
How to register for the module
LECTURE will be pre-allocated to you, based on your recommended schedule and student grouping.
LAB will be pre-allocated to you. We encourage you to stick to your recommended timetable as much as possible. However, in the event that you have valid reasons to change to another slot, please submit an appeal in ModReg.
Pre-requisites and Preclusions
EE2211 has the following pre-requisites: CS1010E and (MA1511 or MA1505) and (MA1508E or MA1513 or CE2407). Advisory: MSE students will self-study calculus while EVE students will self-study linear algebra.
IE2141 Systems Thinking and Dynamics
The following departments’ students are scheduled to read IE2141 in AY2020/21 Semester 1:
- CHE, CVE, EVE, EEE, E Scholars
- Exception: students who have read a Junior Seminar in Residential College 4
How to register for the module
LECTURE will be pre-allocated to you, based on your recommended schedule and student grouping.
LAB will be pre-allocated to you. We encourage you to stick to your recommended timetable as much as possible. However, in the event that you have valid reasons to change to another slot, please submit an appeal in ModReg.
Pre-requisites and Preclusions
IE2141 is precluded from Residential College 4 Junior Seminars (UTC1702x). Effective from the AY2019/20 cohort onwards, students who have read a RC4 Junior Seminar (UTC1702x) will be exempted from the IE2141 graduation requirement. You will be required to take an additional 4 MCs of UEM in place of IE2141 to meet the minimum number of MCs required for graduation.
ES2531 Critical Thinking & Writing
Students are advised to read this module in their early semesters, as it is a pre-requisite for EG2401A Engineering Professionalism.
How to register for the module
Please register for the module in ModReg Select Modules.
Round 1 is reserved for students who are scheduled to read ES2531 in AY2020/21 Semester 1 (refer to your Department's recommended schedule).
Round 2 onwards is open to all Year 2, 3 & 4 Engineering students.

1. Computer Engineering students should read CS2101 to fulfil the writing/communication requirement.
2. Students from USP, UTCP and RVRC Programme should refer to the respective programme websites for details on fulfilling their writing/communication requirement within the special programme.
3. Students on the Double Degree Programme should refer to the DDP programme structure for details on fulfilling their writing/communication requirements.
EG2401A Engineering Professionalism
Students should read this module before or during the semester on internship. Students reading it during the semester on internship will be pre-allocated lecture and tutorial timeslots in the evenings.

Students reading the module during your internship
You will be asked before the start of the semester to indicate your preferred evening timeslot. It will be pre-allocated to you on a first-come-first serve basis.
