Regrade a Multiple Answers quiz question
If you discover an error in a published quiz that contains an existing multiple-answer question, use Quiz Regrade to revise the question and adjust students’ grades.
Notes:
Quiz Regrade applies only to students who have already submitted the quiz.
Adding or removing a question, or changing the point value of a multiple-answer question, does not activate the Quiz Regrade feature.
If you add or remove answers from a multiple-answer question that already has submissions, the option to regrade that question is disabled.
Open Quizzes
To regrade a quiz, in Course Navigation, click the Quizzes link.
Edit Quiz
Find the quiz you want to regrade and click the Options icon,
Then click Edit.
Open Questions Tab
Click the Questions tab.
You can regrade:
Multiple Choice Questions
True/False Questions
Multiple Answers Questions
Edit Multiple Answers Question
Locate the multiple answers question in the quiz. Hover over the question until the edit icon appears. Click the Edit icon.
Select New Correct Answer
Hover over the answer you want to designate as correct until the green ghost arrow appears, then click the arrow.
Select Regrade Option
Canvas detects that you changed the correct answer for this question. In the Regrade Options dialog box, select the radio button for the regrading option you want to apply.
Note: This question type does not offer the Award points for both corrected and previously correct answers option.
Upgrade Question
Click Update Question.
Save Quiz
When you've finished editing your quiz, click Save.
Note: Regrade options will not apply until you have re-saved the quiz.
Save it Now
If you leave the quiz without saving, Canvas prompts you to save your changes when you return. Click Save It Now to apply the updates.
Student View
When students review their quiz results, they receive a notification if the quiz was regraded. Their attempt history also shows the updated score.
