Make student file submissions visible to other students in the course
Canvas does not have a feature to share student submissions in Assignments.
Some workarounds to achieve this:
Receive files in an Assignment, upload to a Files folder
Once students have submitted their assignments, you can download all the student submissions, then upload the downloaded files to a folder to allow students to access the files.
Pros
Easy to set up.
Cons
You have to wait for everyone to submit.
Takes up Files quota in your course.
(Remember not to copy to subsequent course.)
Use a Graded Discussion
Instruct students to submit their file(s) to a discussion. Select Users must post before seeing replies when setting up the discussion so that students need to first submit their assignment submission as a discussion post before seeing other students' submissions (posts).
Pros
Easy to set up.
Can use SpeedGrader to grade the assignments.
Cons
Students will be able to comment on each of the files, which may not be what you want.
Use Dropbox
Create a Dropbox folder which allows students to submit files and access (view and download) all files submitted to the folder.
Follow these instructions to set this up.
Pros
Straightforward for students to upload files and to access others' files.
Cons
Cumbersome to set up.
Shared folder is not perpetual. Expiry date needs to be extended.
Anyone who has the links to upload and access the files can do so.
Use Peer Review
Once students have submitted their assignments, convert the assignment to a peer review assignment by selecting the Require Peer Reviews option.
Ensure that you have chosen the class enrolment number as the Reviews per user.
For example, if your course has 25 students, then you should require 25 Reviews per user. Students will then be able to view all the submissions in the course after the due date.
Pros
Follows the standard Assignment workflow for submission (and for your grading as well).
Cons
Students may end up reviewing each others' submissions, which may not be what you want.
Peer review interface can be confusing.
Create a group
Create a +Group set from People to create a single group in which all students in your class are assigned to that single group. Students can then access the Group Homepage to upload files.
Pros
Simple to set up.
Cons
Students can delete other students' files.
