  1. The instructions below are only valid after December 2016 when NUSNET login to Turnitin is disabled.
  2. These instructions are applicable only to Turnitin users accessing Turnitin directly. If you have always used Turnitin via IVLE, this page does not apply to you.
  3. Instructors are highly encouraged to set up submission to Turnitin via IVLE instead.

Log in to Turnitin

If you know your Turnitin account details

Go to turnitin.com.

Click Log In on the top right.

Enter your Turnitin account email address.

Enter your Turnitin account password.

Click Log In.

Reset your Turnitin account password

If you know your Turnitin email address and last name

Go to turnitin.com.

Click Log In on the top right.

Click the Reset password link.

Enter the email address associated with your Turnitin account.

Enter your last name as in your Turnitin account profile.

If you do not know your Turnitin email address and/or last name...
 If you are an instructor...

CIT does not create Turnitin accounts manually.

A Turnitin account is created automatically when you create a Turnitin submission folder in IVLE.

 

  1. Your Turnitin account is separate from your NUS account.

  2. Resetting your Turnitin password does not affect your NUS password.

  3. DO NOT reuse your NUS password for your Turnitin account.

Reset your Turnitin password
  • Go to the Turnitin login page.

  • Click the Forgot your password link. (See note below regarding last name.)

  • If the email matches the details that Turnitin has on record, you will be sent an email with further instructions on resetting your password.

 If you are a student...
  1. You are only required to login directly to Turnitin if your instructor requires you to do so. Most Turnitin submissions are done directly in IVLE Files.
  2. You will know you are required to submit directly to Turnitin if you:
    1. receive a welcome email from Turnitin, or
    2. are provided a class ID and class enrolment password to enrol in a Turnitin class.
  3. If you received a Welcome email from Turnitin,
    1. with a create your password link, follow these instructions instead.
    2. only notifying you of that you have been added to a class in Turnitin, continue on to the reset your password instructions below.
  4. If you were provided a class ID and class enrolment password by your instructor, follow these instructions.
    1. If you are prompted that your email exists in Turnitin, continue on to the reset your password instructions below.

 

  1. Your Turnitin account is separate from your NUS account.

  2. Resetting your Turnitin password does not affect your NUS password.

  3. DO NOT reuse your NUS password for your Turnitin account.

Reset your Turnitin password
  • Go to the Turnitin login page.
