How do I email, contact and collaborate with my group mates?

Canvas provides a few ways for group members to communicate and collaborate:

Use Inbox

A more powerful way is to use the Group home page.

Each group has a group homepage, a mini-Canvas where you can communicate and collaborate with your group.

Besides group members, your instructor(s) may access your group. Students outside your group cannot access your group.

You can access the group homepage via:

Groups on the left-hand Global Navigation Menu, or
In your course, via People > Groups > Visit. (If you do not see your group using this method, use the first method.)
