User guide for hybrid teaching

Use this guide when setting up for hybrid teaching within Business School hybrid teaching venues. This ensures the user is properly orientated to use the venue to its fullest.


Hybrid System Control Panel

Consists of 4 buttons:

PC and Laptop button to toggle between connecting the hybrid system to the desktop PC or the user's laptop. 

Mute and Unmute button to turn on/off the ceiling microphones.

The ceiling microphones will light up green when it is ON, and red when it is OFF.

PTZ Camera Remote

Allows for camera angle adjustment and also able to switch between 3 preset angles.

Optimized Zoom Settings on your Laptop

Follow these steps to set up the best Zoom settings when using these venues.

Step 1:

Go to Audio Settings

Step 2:

Select Echo Cancelling Speakerphone as your microphone and Speakers as your speaker

Be sure to press the Unmute button on the Hybrid System Control Panel to engage the ceiling microphones.

Step 3:

Uncheck Automatically adjust microphone volume and drag microphone volume slider to 80%

Step 4:

Select Medium under "Suppress background noise"

Step 5:

Go to Video Settings

Step 6:

Select PTZ Pro 2 as your camera

Use the PTZ Camera remote on the desk to select different view angle presets

Step 7:

Make sure HD is checked and set "Adjust for low light" to Auto for the best looking video.
