Why can't my students access the Turnitin assignment? (Instructor)
There are several possibilities:
- Your Available From date is after the Feedback Release Date.
You receive an error similar to:
Turnitin assignment could not be created.
Sorry, we could not process your request.
date_post - post date must be after start date
You can rectify this by editing the Available from date in Canvas to an earlier date. As the Feedback Release Date cannot be displayed when you encounter this error, you will have to set the Available from date to a much earlier date, save it and see if the Turnitin Assignment is displayed correctly. - Check the Assign to setting in the Canvas assignment settings.
- If you are using PeerMark, your Feedback Release Date for the PeerMark assignment is before the Feedback Release Release Date of the assignment folder.
You can rectify this by editing the Feedback Release Date of the assignment to just after normal submission closes.
