Unable to launch Examplify installer on Mac
To fix this issue, you need to enable installation of applications from sources other than the Mac App Store on your macOS.
Users can follow the directions below to prevent this error message from appearing in one of two ways:
Change the app security settings on your Mac
This will change the gatekeeper setting to allow all applications to run.
- Open System Settings
- Click Privacy & Security.
- Then scroll down to Security.
- Under "Allow apps downloaded from," select "Allow apps that have been downloaded from the App Store and from developers identified by Apple.
Manually allowing individual applications to launch
This is the best method for users who do not want to change the gatekeeper setting to allow all applications to run.
The steps below show how to temporarily override your Mac security settings to launch the Examplify installer.
Open System Settings.
Click Privacy & Security.
- "Examplify App" was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer.
Click the Open Anyway button to confirm your intent to open or install the Examplify app.
When the warning prompt reappears, click Open to proceed with installation.
Here, you might be prompted to open Examplify in the Finder. Open the app, and enter the admin name and password if prompted to.- Examplify has now been added to security exception.
- Double click to launch Examplify in the future.
