Allowed multiple attempts (unlimited) but students can only make one attempt for Classic Quizzes

If students report that a quiz is set to multiple attempts, but they are not allowed further attempts after the first attempt, please check your quiz settings.

If you see Multiple attempts Yes and Attempts 0, as below:

1. Edit the quiz.
2. For Allowed attempts, there should be two dashes: --
3. Delete the dashes.
4. If the assignment has:
1. already been published, click Save and Publish.
2. not been published, click Save.
