Receiving file submissions

In Canvas, Files is used only to distribute files.

To receive file submissions from students, you create an online Assignment (File Upload type).

Accessing file submissions

Submissions to assignments are laid out in a different manner in Canvas.

Learn how to:

• check assignment submission status, and

• access the uploaded assignments.

Grading file submissions

For supported file types, you can access SpeedGrader to grade the submissions online.

If you have multiple markers and multiple sections, use the Filter within the SpeedGrader to grade by sections (/tutorial groups)

You can also download the uploaded assignments in bulk.
