Install External Apps (LTI Tools)

The installation of External Apps (LTI Tools) in Canvas is restricted in NUS.

Aside from External Apps that NUS subscribes to at university-level and are pre-approved, individual instructors who wish to install External Apps need to:

  1. Go through the NUS Cloud Assessment process to make sure that is it accepted as an Assessed Cloud service, and
  2. Ensure that their subscription tier covers the users/usage for their course(s). Once the course is accepted as Assessed Cloud, they are responsible for any subscription costs for the external app.


Examples of External Apps at university-level

These need not be installed via your course settings. They can be used immediately within the course.
