Device not supported (ExamID)
If you encounter the above error on Examplify when you are starting an exam with ExamID enabled on a Windows device, then follow the below steps to resolve the error:
- Perform clean uninstall/reinstall of Examplify:
- Give Examplify all permissions: https://support.examsoft.com/hc/en-us/articles/11167812968717-Windows-Set-Up-the-Device-Permissions-for-ExamID-and-ExamMonitor
- If the above does not resolve the issue, then proceed to do the following to update your device drivers:
- Go to Control Panel > Sound > Recording, speak into your microphone, and ensure that it’s working.
Now go to Control Panel > Device Manager, expand Audio inputs and outputs and Imaging device. Right-click the audio device in the previous step to update the driver. Repeat this for the imaging device.
After updating the device drivers. Restart laptop.
Open Examplify and check if the error is resolved.
- Go to Control Panel > Sound > Recording, speak into your microphone, and ensure that it’s working.
