Newly enrolled students in CourseReg are not synced to Canvas
Newly enrolled students are not synced to Canvas until after the student enrolments are officially released to EduRec from CourseReg.Â
After every round of CourseReg exercise, the officially released student enrolments are uploaded to EduRec. Only these officially released enrolments will be synced to Canvas during the daily sync. Please note that students cannot be added to Canvas until after the CourseReg exercise is complete, and the Edurec Sync from CourseReg happens.
For students enrolling to courses via the course appeals process also works in a similar manner, and student enrolment information is only synced after the appeal process is completed, and the data is available on EduRec, before Canvas can sync the data from EduRec. Although, the appeals are approved by the departments, and the CourseReg system states that students have been enrolled, Edurec will still not show that the students have been enrolled (or dropped) until after the EduRec Sync period as stipulated by the Registrar's office.Â
