NUS data standards for names and email addresses

Full name requirements:

• Must not be blank or null

• Only allow A to Z, 0 to 9 and selected special characters ( ) , - . / @

  • and Apostrophe: ' and Single Quote: '

• Must not be a null-like value, including but not limited to nil, not applicable, tbc, tba, pending (both upper and lower cases)

• Must be in English

• Must be less than 128 characters in total

Email requirements:

• Must be English

• Must be less than 320 characters in total

• Email address must be valid email

• Must not be a shared/group account email
