- Will captions appear when viewing the recording?
Yes, if the session is recorded to the cloud. Viewers can also hide it if they prefer not to view the captions. - Can the host delete the caption file on the cloud?
Yes, if the session is recorded to the cloud.
Go to https://nus-sg.zoom.us/recording. There will be a Closed Caption (.vtt) file which you can delete. - Can the host edit the caption file?
There is a Closed Caption (.vtt) file generated in the cloud after the meeting has ended. The host can download the file. There is no re-upload Closed Caption feature. - Will participants who join late read the transcript which they missed?
No. During the Zoom Meeting, participants can only see the LIVE transcript from the moment they joined. - Can I allow participants to Save the Full Transcript?
By default no. If you prefer to let participants (and yourself) to save Full transcript for all future sessions, you can enable it.- Go to NUS Zoom Portal.
- Click on Settings.
- Search (Ctrl+'F' or Cmd+'F') for Save Captions.
To allow participants to save fully closed captions or transcripts - Enable Save Captions3.
Is Live Transcript the same as Audio Transcript?
Differences are:
Zoom Live Transcript Zoom Audio Transcript Participants can view LIVE. Participants don't see LIVE Watch it during playback as a closed captions/subtitles. Only saved in cloud, if cloud recording was selecting.
Will be processed only after the meeting has ended.Participants can save during the meeting, if granted Save Caption permission.

- Click on Settings.

- Disable closed captioning.
